Join us for a guided trip up Mill Creek, where the land tells stories of deep time. Trace the valley’s dramatic geology, from ancient basalt flows to modern floods. Experience the landscape, connect with others and gain a rich understanding of the forces that shape our home.

The trip will involve a few stops and a 1.7-mile hike. Please come prepared for the weather.

Please plan to carpool. We encourage everyone to offer open seats or jump in an empty one to minimize our footprint.

We'll meet in the Rooks Park parking lot. There are public restrooms and cars can be left there throughout the day. Heading east on Mill Creek Road, go approximately 1 mile past the Community College and turn right onto Rooks Park Road. Head through the gate into the park and look for signs to park together in the main lot.
